Spinner's is a fine dining establishment in Gold Beach, Oregon and we specialize in contemporary and classical cuisine.  Our wine list is extensive and our eclectic menu caters to many palates.   Spinners opened in July 2001 and is open daily except for a hiatus from January 2 until February 14 every year.

Investigation and Evaluation

Actually, Northwest Technical contacted us.  They have patronized our restaurant in the past and thought that we would be a good candidate as one of their beta testers.  We had actually talked to another web designer in the past about creating a website for us, but we were turned-off by their $6,000 price quote.  But we always knew that someday we would need to revisit online advertising.


So when Northwest Technical called and invited us to their presentation, we were a bit skeptical at first.  But when they offered to design our website in exchange for our feedback, we said, "Why not?".   But what we saw at that meeting was not what we expected.  We were really surprised at what we saw.


We are pleased with Northwest Technical’s DinerMagic solutions for 3 reasons:   Its very affordable pricing, ease of use, the style and look that can be created.  You get a clean, simple, yet a very professional-looking website.  We did not want to spend a “fortune” on a sassy, hip site… we want to show who we are and what we serve and entice the diner to come in and see for themselves what Spinner's is all about. 


They have a great answer for the customer looking for a simple, easy to use website, one that is easy on the pocket and gives them many solutions.  Most restaurateurs can work on publisher and other programs and they can navigate around their menu and most do an outstanding job.  Not many can maintain a website, let alone create one of their own.


One key thing their system can do is change all of the “pages” at once and with ease.  Bang, your menu is updated, your handout menu is updated, and your website is updated, and we can do it all by ourselves and it’s all included in the price of admission. Their pricing is genius. 



When we met with Northwest Technical, they had already created our website including an online menu.  We had given them one of our menus only a few days before.  And there it was online!  We chose a domain name and they demonstrated how easy it was to edit not only the website, but also the menu.  We were constantly changing our menus but the method we were using (Microsoft Word) was cumbersome and the layout left a lot to be desired.  Northwest Technical showed us how to make our menu look professional without having to be, or to hire a graphics artist.  Now we have both a menu and a website that is easy to maintain.



It is too early for Spinner's to know the exact benefits and where they fall.  We can say for sure, with a website you are visual.  And when you are seen more often, by many, then they will come.  In our case, we are a mature restaurant that has been graced with success.  However, we know that with a website, and one we can easily monitor, then we will be able to attract an even wider audience, and our target is, not only the travelers who run up and down Pacific Highway 101, but the many tourists coming to our area as a destination.
