Restaurant profile

La Flor de Mexico is a family-style Mexican restaurant with specialties from the Guadalajara-Puerta Vallarta region. Our guests enjoy our authentic salsas, frijoles and specialties in a colorful, inviting environment where they can include their favorite beverages from our cantina along with their delicious meals.

 

Situation Analysis

Since we are a small, family-run business, we do not have a large budget for menus. We hired a professional designer to produce our menu, and as restaurant owners know, that is not inexpensive. The process was long and every change we had to make took weeks or months to make it to the menu. Also, we recognized the need for a website to give us more exposure and to remain competitive in the current restaurant marketplace. Brookings has a strong tourist base, and reaching those who don’t already know us meant finding a cost-effective web presence as well. We participate in many community activities and wanted a way to let our guests, friends and associates see that support online.   We need to be able to show our specials, make adjustments to the menu and control expenses by printing our own menus.
