How do I add pictures to my Home Page

Adding pictures your Home Page is a multistep process. We recommend that you first watch the tutorial, "Adding Images to the Home Page" on YouTube.

1. Log onto your Admin Panel.

2. Click on "Photos", scroll to the bottom to the uploader, then "Browse" and locate your image. Name the photo you want for your home page, then "Update" the page.

Now find the image in the list and place your mouse cursor over the thumbnail photo.  Right-click (click the right mouse button), and choose "Copy Image Location" from the pop-up menu.

3. Next, click the "Home" button at the top of the page.

4. Click on "Home Page".

5. Place your mouse cursor in the editor window where you want your image to be, left-click once. This can be at the beginning before the text, between paragraphs, or at the end of all text.

6. Then click the Insert/Edit Image button, located on the bottom line of the editor tools (above the text window), far right, identified by the "Tree".

7. This opens a new dialog box called Insert/Edit Image.

8. You'll notice that there are three tabs across the top of the box: "General", "Appearance", and "Advanced". We will use the "General" and "Appearance" tabs.

9. The first line in the "General" section is the "Image URL", or the address of the photo you want to use. Place your cursor in that line and left-click once, then right-click your mouse, and choose "Paste" from the pop-up menu.

10. The next line calls for a description of the image.  Enter a brief description of the image here. It is important that you do this--think Google Images. For example, you might use a sentence like: "My restaurant's delicious shrimp tacos." (use the name of your restaurant).

11. Next click on the "Appearance" tab. The first line is called "Alignment", and contains a drop down menu. Go ahead and choose different alignments and watch the small image change text and/or location in the box to the right.

12. Next, make sure the small box "Constrain Proportions" is checked, enter the dimensions of the image (you only need to enter one dimension with the Constrained Proportions box checked). We's suggest about 350 pixels wide to begin with, but go ahead and experiment.

13. Click "Insert".

Again, images must be in jpg format.
