How does the DinerMagic design process work?


  • After filling out our online application form, you will send us a copy of your restaurant's printed menu (either an actual hardcopy or in electronic file format), logo and contact information. 

 

  • We will design a unique website homepage header design for you, or you can choose a pre-designed website template from our DinerMagic Designs CollectionWe will then customize it with your restaurant's information along with your choices of certain styles and colors schemes.


  • If you haven't done so, we will register a unique domain name for your restaurant.  Then we will create a new website based on information you provide. The basic website will contain the following pages:  Home, Contact Us, Map & Directions, Photo Gallery, Menu, Daily Specials, Manageable Guestbook.


  • Optional Webcam and Jobs webpages are also available.


  • Our design team will digitize your menu and will place an electronic version on your new website.


  • You can now log onto your website using your username and password to access your secure, customized Admin Panel.  Here you can edit and update your menu whenever you desire.  As you edit your online Website Menu, your Downloadable PDF Menu is automatically and simultaneously updated.

    • To edit your menu, you select the section to be edited from the Menu Editor. For example, a section called "Salads" may be selected.

    • The "Salads" section then appears with form fields of all of the items, names, descriptions, and prices, which can then be edited.  A digital photo or image of the item can also be uploaded at this time.

    • Once all of the changes are made, you simply click the Update button.  The updates are automatically applied to the restaurant's website menu as well as to the downloadable printed PDF menu.

    • This downloadable printed PDF menu is formatted to print on most desktop printers (it can be modified as necessary). Once downloaded, you can print as often as needed. There are no wasted copies and updated menus are available immediately.


  • Your updated menu will now immediately appear on your restaurant's new website and it is also ready to print.  If you own a color printer that supports your menu paper type, you can do this yourself.  If not, you can email or bring your menu on your thumbdrive to your local copy or print shop for printing.
